3月27日讯 在谈到国足未来的情况时，记者宋承良表示，如果国足无法进入18强赛，想拿到亚洲杯落选赛第一名也有困难。

世界杯亚洲区36强赛同时也是2027年亚洲杯预选赛，根据规则，进入18强赛的球队将晋级2027年亚洲杯正赛。2027年亚洲杯正赛保持24队规模，剩余的名额将通过落选赛决出。国足下轮击败泰国即可晋级18强赛，如果打平或者输球，可能无缘晋级18强赛。

记者宋承良在个人微博写道：“从目前情况来看，一旦国足打不进18强赛，将参加2027沙特亚洲杯落选赛最后六个名额争夺，届时可能出现的对手包括科威特、朝鲜、马来西亚（吉尔吉斯斯坦）、中国香港、越南、菲律宾、塔吉克斯坦（约旦）、黎巴嫩，到时候这个落选赛恐怕小组第一也不好拿啊。”
